One of our lessons this week in preschool was to smell cinnamon & flour and pretend to bake apple pies just like grandma does. Taste, Touch & Smell + Pretend Play.

Caleigh said that it was her favorite part of the day and she even tasted the mixture a little.

I don't think I actually prepared the area well. It was messy. Very messy. Best of all, it was fun.

I can't wait until we do it again.

yay! and in two months, when we're off this darn diet...wer're joining you.
i think caleigh needs one of those cute play kitchen sets from pottery barn or target. just sayin'
I did this with my son who is 2.5 years old and very similar to Caleigh (especially in the dystonia aspect). He LOVED it! We actually did a cookie recipe that rolls out with cookie cutters and he got right into the cookie cutters, ate the dough (no eggs in it), and had a great time with the flour! I then fed him the cookies with one of those little feeding nets for babies. Yum!
total funness!!
That looks like so much fun. I love her smiles!
So much fun!
What kind of chair is she sitting in?
Thanks!
